Clearwater Kayak Fest

Thank you all for participating in the 2nd annual Clearwater Kayak Fest!  It was another memorable weekend that saw kayakers from all over enjoying the Clearwater River.  Stay tuned for race results and photos.

July 30

At 1430 on Sunday there will be a BBQ and Gear Swap @ IWE.  At the BBQ we will award the winners of the DownRiver Race and the Rodeo.  Plus, this is a good time for you to sell / trade your old unwanted gear.  See ya there!

Ski Hill Directions:  There are only two major intersections on Hwy 5 in Clearwater.  Coming from the south - First intersection (Wells Gray Inn on right, Dutch Lake Restaurant and Red and White Ice Cream stand on left).  Take a right at the Wells Gray Inn, go up small hill then down, you will pass Home Hardware, Post Office other stores - Keep going straight.  Drive over blue bridge, go straight up small hill first left turn - there is a Clearwater Ski Hill sign.

If you are coming from the north - take a left at Wells Gray Inn - follow the south directions.

The camping is first come first serve, so we recommend that you arrive early to get a spot.  Tents are prefer but if you have a small RV it might work.  There are no hook ups or waste disposal system.  If you have a big RV and want all the amenities, then contact Dutch Lake Motel and RV @ 1-877-674-3325, Clearwater Valley Resort & KOA @ 1-888-837-1161, Dutch Lake Resort RV Park @ 1-888-884-4424.

Ticket price for the weekend $55.00 

Spectator Ticket:  $40.00 (includes: Sat lunch, Sunday BBQ, concert ticket, camping fee)

Concert Ticket:  $15.00

*Combination of the above are available if you wish to attend for one of the events or two.

We were able to secure accommodations for the Clearwater Kayak Fest.  All kayakers will be staying at the Clearwater Ski Hill.  Directions:  Arriving from south - At the Wells Gray Inn, Dutch Lake Restaurant intersection take a right, go down hill, pass post office/home hardware store, go straight over blue bridge, head up hill, left turn - you'll see the sign.

Hello, Everyone!  The Clearwater Kayak Fest is still happening.  It is dedicated in memory of Ben Earle and will be a fundraiser for his two little ones.  There will be some minor changes to the schedule.  We are looking forward to seeing all of our friends, it is going to be an awesome weekend, with lots of prizes, excellent food and good times on the river.

The dates for the 2008 festival have been set. Due to the slow start to the summer melt we will be having the festival on the 9th and 10th of August. "Down Under the Horizonline" see www.skippyfilms.com.

Clearwater Kayak Fest 2008!!!!

We are starting to put a few plans togeather for the up comming 2008 Clearwater River Kayaking Festival.

After the huge sucess of the inagural event in July this year we cant wait to hold an even better one next time.

The tentative dates will be July 19th and 20th with August 8th and 9th as alternate dates if needed.

Keep your eye out for more info comming in the new year.

Enjoy you winter, or summer if you are lucky enough!!!!! and we will see you on the river!!

The Clearwater Kayak Festival has come and gone and was a huge sucess!! Thanks to everyone who showed up and took part, to all our volunteers and to all who supported the festival.
